Kayleigh

Clinical Midwife Manager, Private midwife, antenatal educator and Co-founder of Nine Antenatal

Kayleigh began her midwifery career in 2008 after graduating from the University of Nottingham. She moved to New Zealand shortly after and has spent her career working in labour, birth & postnatal care. She is now Clinical Midwife Manager on the birthing suite at Auckland Hospital.

Kayleigh believes that a positive birth experience looks different for every family. She is passionate about helping parents feel informed, confident, and in control of their choices. Through up-to-date, practical education, she empowers families to create a birth and postnatal plan that reflects their values and needs. That sense of clarity and confidence doesn’t just support birth—it lays a strong foundation for the entire parenting journey.

Kayleigh supports both low and high-risk births and works closely with private obstetricians, providing labour and postnatal care to families choosing private maternity. Because Kayleigh walks the journey alongside families receiving private care, she is closely attuned to their needs and expectations. Her role within Auckland Hospital’s birthing suite ensures she remains aligned with the latest evidence-based practice, clinical guidelines, and hospital innovations.

With over 20 years of personal and professional experience supporting breastfeeding, Kayleigh is currently working towards her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) qualification to further strengthen her postnatal care.

As a mother of three, she brings warmth, honesty, and real-life understanding to every class—ensuring families feel truly prepared for what’s ahead.

Rebecca

Midwife, IBCLC, Holistic Sleep Coach, Antenatal Educator and co-founder of nine antenatal

Rebecca is a highly experienced midwife, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), holistic sleep coach, and co-founder of Nine Antenatal. With over 15 years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the early postnatal months, she brings deep knowledge, calm reassurance, and a truly holistic approach to her care.

Rebecca currently works on the birthing suite at Auckland Hospital, where she supports both low- and high-risk births alongside private obstetricians. She understands the unique needs of families choosing private maternity care and is passionate about offering antenatal education that reflects the real experience of birth and postnatal recovery in this setting.

With a strong background in HypnoBirthing and a deep commitment to informed choice, Rebecca supports families in planning for all types of birth—whether that's a calm, physiological labour or one where an epidural is part of the plan from the start. Her teaching style is gentle, practical, and grounded in clinical expertise.

As an IBCLC and certified sleep coach, Rebecca brings a strong focus on the fourth trimester—supporting feeding, sleep, and emotional wellbeing. Her care doesn’t stop at birth. Alongside live Q&A sessions and wraparound support, she offers practical postnatal guidance to help families navigate those early weeks with confidence.

As a mother of two, Rebecca understands just how transformative (and at times overwhelming) the early parenting journey can be. Her goal is to ensure every family feels informed, supported, and empowered—whatever path they choose.
